Must-Visit Towns in the Noosa Hinterland

Pomona

Nestled at the base Pomona is a charming historic town known for its relaxed main street, local cafes, and creative community. The standout attraction is the Majestic Theatre, one of Australia’s oldest continuously operating cinemas, still screening classic films to packed weekend audiences. For those feeling adventurous, the hike up Mount Cooroora rewards the adventurous with sweeping hinterland views at the summit.

Cooroy

Cooroy is the beating heart of the Noosa Hinterland, which impresses with its creative energy and exceptional dining scene. One of our favourite attractions is the Cooroy Butter Factory, a beautifully converted heritage building that hosts rotating exhibitions, artist studios, workshops, and cultural events throughout the year. It’s a window into the thriving creative community that has quietly flourished in this corner of Queensland. Cooroy also serves as the gateway to Lake MacDonald and Noosa Botanic Gardens, with walking trails and picnic areas that make for a peaceful afternoon in nature.

Eumundi

Famous for its vibrant creative spirit, Eumundi is best known for its iconic markets that have been running for over 100 years. Wander through stalls of handmade art, fashion, homewares and fresh, local produce. There’s so much more to Eumundi than just the markets, we could spend a whole day wandering and exploring art galleries and charming boutiques.
