21 Apr Discover the Noosa North Shore
Have you discovered Noosa North Shore? It’s the ideal place to go on a mini adventure where you can explore over 80km of unspoilt open beaches, golden sands and forest wilderness!
Get back to nature and go fishing, horse or camel riding, surfing, and walking forest trails, or enjoy the freedom of 4-wheel driving!
What will you do when you get here?
Sightseeing in your 4WD
Engage your 4WD and get ready for an incredibly scenic 60km drive along the beach to Double Island Point and Rainbow Bay. On the way, you can stop at the Coloured Sands that can be seen on Teewah Beach and when going over the Liesha Crossover at Double Island Point for even more spectacular views.
You’ll be amazed by the unspoilt landscape, ancient sand dunes, clear Lake Cooroibah, sparkling blue ocean, stretches of white sandy beaches and native wildlife including, kangaroos and birds.
Visit the historic lighthouse where you’re likely to see large turtles and dolphins. It’s also a great vantage point for watching the whales migrating past the point during May to November.
If you don’t want to go it alone, guided and tag-along four-wheel drive tours are available from Noosa Heads and Noosaville to Noosa North Shore.
Noosa North Shore horse riding
There’s nothing quite like feeling of freedom and joy that horse riding can bring, especially when in the beautiful Noosa North Shore setting.
Managed by triple Olympian, Alex Watson and his wife, Equathon offers 1-hour beach rides and 2-hour bush and beach rides. All skill levels are welcome, offering an idyllic day out for the whole family!
Noosa Camel Rides
How about sightseeing on a camel? They are steady and easy to ride, especially as they each have their own crafted saddles, bridles and stirrups, individually designed to fit each camel.
Each ride in around 45 minutes with a maximum of 8 riders.
